Worlds Smallest Reptile

On the tiny island of Nosy Hara off the northern tip of Madagascar, biologists have discovered a new species: the tiny chameleon Brookesia micra. The world’s smallest known reptile, it measures less than three centimeters (1.2 inches) long. It spends most of its time hiding under leaves. Now that logging has increased, its habitat and its future are in danger.
