Suaad Hagi Mohamud, a 31-year-old Somali-born Canadian citizen, arrives in Toronto August 15, 2009, after three months' detention in Kenya. Mohamud was about to leave Kenya after visiting her mother, when Kenyan authorities decided that she didn't look like the photo on her passport. Canadian officials agreed and allowed the Kenyans to prosecute her. Back in Canada, her ex-husband and her 12-year-old son provided DNA evidence to help confirm her identity. When the results came back from the lab, Mohamud was released and allowed to return home. Here she is seen reaching out to her son at the airport in Toronto.
