Voice of America Blocked in Russia…by the US Government

Incredible as it seems, the taxpayer-funded Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is terminating the Voice of America’s Russian language programming. Instead, the BBG is shifting its Russian language programming to Radio Liberty, which is also funded by US taxpayers. However, Radio Liberty’s reporters are all Russian citizens whose freedom of expression is more vulnerable to pressure from the Russian government.
