Two Vacancies on FBI 10 Most Wanted List

Monday, October 03, 2011
Wanted: someone to take over for a legendary mafia boss and the world’s most infamous terrorist.

The famed Ten Most Wanted list managed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has two vacancies these days, now that Osama bin Laden is dead and Boston mobster James “Whitey” Bulger is finally behind bars.

This means there are only Eight Most Wanted right now. The FBI is offering $100,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of seven of the eight, but $1 million for Victor Manuel Gerena, who is wanted for using violence during the 1983 theft of $7 million from the Wells Fargo security company for which he worked.

The FBI is in the process of selecting two individuals to fill the empty slots. This effort will take time because the bureau solicits recommendations from its field offices around the country. FBI headquarters will then review the choices before Director Robert Mueller III approves the selections.
