Nearly a dozen Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) employees working at the Lihu‘e Airport on the island of Kauai in Hawaii were overcome on November 3 by unidentified emissions coming from the security checkpoint they were manning.

Suspicions point to one of TSA’s screening booths, which may have leaked radiation. A hazardous materials (HAZMAT) team inspected the booth with equipment that measures radiation levels.

The TSA offered no explanation for the incident, which sickened 11 personnel and sent a few to the hospital. The airport was closed for a few hours, but reopened with assurances that everything was fine.

"did radiation leak?" the tsa and passengers should be worried about the daily exposure while walking through and working around them day in, day out. according to fatherland security they're perfectly safe, i guess that's why janet napolitano goes through them all the time, huh.
